The Romans built their large bathing establishment here partly unchanged today on which the present hotel was built in the nineteenth century. Unique in Sicily the Grand Hotel delle Terme incorporates the baths in its fabric. There are 70 rooms available to guests including 13 suites; these also have Jacuzzi baths. They are all elegantly furnished and provided with a fridge bar air-conditioning hairdryer TV direct dial telephone and wireless. The hotel has many facilities including a restaurant gymnasium indoor and outdoor swimming pool billiards room large fully-equipped garden and car park. The hot spring facilities in particular include a swimming pool with whirlpool thermal sauna mud therapy balneotherapy inhaling plant and beauty farm. In addition in the summer there is a shuttle service linking the hotel with the lido where sun beds and umbrellas are available. Finally the hot spring cures can be used at the Grand Hotel delle Terme throughout the year and the plant has an arrangement with the Italian Health Service.
