The hotel was built in 1870 in the idiom of Belle Epoque and designed to do justice to that mesmerising panorama. Almost every room every terrace and balcony the American Bar the restaurant the pool and the perfect English garden gets a view of the water. As you enter the lobby there it is again framed in giant picture windows! You reach the recently renovated lavishly furnished bedrooms via balconies that rise up from the foyer tier upon tier of colonnades. Some place! Some palace!
